Tightrope 12x12

This smaller painting, painted in vivid shades of orange and purple, was the first exploration of the idea that later grew into the large black-and-white work, Balance. The bold, expressive color palette adds an energy and urgency to the image of a woman perched on a tightrope above the city. This piece captures the spark of the concept—how women live in constant negotiation with gravity, expectation, and possibility—while foreshadowing the more refined monochrome statement of the final painting.
