A group of figures emerges from a soft haze of grey, bronze, and charcoal, their forms overlapping in translucent layers of color. Painted directly on unprimed canvas, this piece marks the first work in a new technique — one that forgoes traditional gesso to let the raw fabric itself hold and diffuse each layer of pigment.
The result is a quieter, more atmospheric transparency: color that feels absorbed into the canvas rather than applied on top of it, and figures that seem to gather and dissolve into one another at once.
